Let the good times roll! Keep on keeping on! No matter how you say it, the District continues to enhance services while at the same time accepting new challenges. The First Tee, a youth program focused on making better people, not just better golfers, had a spectacular grand opening and was honored not only by George Lopez’s participation but also his generous donation of $5,000 and a promise of his continued support.
This summer we are offering some exciting new camps to keep children active and engaged. The La Quinta camp focuses on the arts while our camp in Bermuda Dunes features three themed sessions that feature many new activities. Additional information is contained in The Catalog.

Coming soon is the NBA’s first outdoor basketball game of the modern era. Suns Under the Stars will see the Phoenix Suns host the Denver Nuggets at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Coachella Valley Community Recreation Foundation. Other activities associated with this historic event are a free concert by War and the Gus Macker national 3-on-3 basketball championships.

Our new TV show, "Discover the District"

The video version of The Catalog is now being broadcast on Time Warner Cable. Each month, two new shows highlight , our activities, staff and you. We invite you to join host Kathy Strong as she introduces in action.
Original shows air the second and fourth Tuesday each month at 8 p.m. Re-broadcasts are Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. and Mondays at 9 p.m. Tune in to Channel 17 and experience our life-enriching services for yourself.
