We Have Moved!

The District’s administration has moved to a new location in Indio where we will be able to better serve The District’s 200,000 residents as well as our guests, developers, and the many groups and organizations that use our services. Our new office will also provide an additional location where you can register for programs, obtain a membership card or information about our services. Our new address is: 45-305 Oasis Street, Indio. Stop by and check us out!

Need a place to have a meeting, party, or special event?

You should consider using one of our community centers or parks. Each facility is large enough for most events — wedding receptions, quinceñeras, social events or group meetings. Set amidst some of the Valley’s finest green areas, the centers offer the space and equipment to make your event memorable.

Reservations may be made no more than six months in advance and no less than two weeks in advance. Call for details.

Community Garden

The city of Palm Desert opened the community garden in 1999. It is a focal point for residents and guests visiting the City. This is a city-owned Community Garden — the city provides water, fresh soil/compost, trash pickup, restroom maintenance and general maintenance. The plots are leased to residents on an annual basis from September through August. Rates range from $20 to $35/plot for the year. The gardeners love being in the park, working the soil, even in the summer! It’s a pleasant community of people from different backgrounds and ages, sharing their knowledge and helping each other. For more information, contact The Portola Community Center, 568-2560, PRRESS 4.
