Coral Mountain Interpretive Center in La Quinta
The Coral Mountain Interpretive Center is the result of a partnership between the Bureau of Reclamation and . This will be the Valley’s first archeological park and will protect our rich history for generations. Scheduled to open in 2008, the Center will include interpretive trails, picnic areas and a learning center. The project encompasses 600 acres of which 123 acres will be designated for public access.
Skate Park at the Palm Desert Community Center
Join the fun of skateboarding with our ramp/bowl facility. Proper skateboard safety rules are enforced. A valid Palm Desert Skate Park membership card is required (available at Palm Desert Community Center) along with a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads.
Canal Regional Park
Over 200 acres at Pierce and Avenue 54 in Coachella, Canal Regional Park is the host site for the Coachella Valley Radio Control Club. Included on site is a 600 x 70 foot asphalt runway, a shaded concrete pit area with tables and chairs, parking to accommodate over 400 cars. The CVRCC has over 150 members and meet monthly.
