Total Body Shape Up

It’s totally good for you! Enjoy the beauty of the desert while you workout! This class combines aerobic and nonaerobic exercises to strengthen and tone your entire body. Plus your mind and spirit get a lift from the natural panorama that is La Quinta. You’ll begin with stretching, walking, and/or jogging then progress to sculpting exercises, and cardiovascular and core training drills. EveryBODY leaves feeling strong and serene!

Salsaerobics

Aerobics with a Latin kick! This is the ideal class to have fun while getting in shape. It combines aerobics, dance and exercise all to a salsa-beat! The work-out benefits are great including flexibility, conditioning, coordination, and shaping-up! Uno-dos-tres…it’s a fun work-out!

Mind and Body Ayurvendic Lifestyle Coaching

Come learn how to get balance with Ayurvedic Lifestyle Living. The purpose of this class is to help you understand your unique mind constitutions and how they affect you and your behavior. Learn tips on how to get balance with a healthy diet and lifestyle changes  for a more satisfying, happier, and healthier life. This course is taught by Jeff Skorman, Chopra Center Certified, and Marcia Hudson, M.D.

Pilates

Pilates is a great way to strengthen, tone, and stretch your whole body. The class focuses on core strength and stability, and postural muscles to help build and maintain a strong body. You’ll learn breathing awareness and spine alignment. Pilates helps to avoid or alleviate back pain, and it increases lung capacity. You’ll notice better posture, balance and core strength. Come and join us, you’ll love the way that Pilates makes you feel, and look!

Requirements: Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and a large towel or blanket.

Silvesneakers®

Hey senior citizens! This free fitness class is designed especially for you! Have fun moving to music while doing a variety of easy exercises. It’s all good for increasing your muscular strength, and helping your range of movement and activity. Feel free to go at your own pace, or sit in a chair, or use it for support – it’s up to you! Put on your comfortable clothes, and come for a simple work-out with your fellow Silver-Sneakers!
