Bob Hope Chrysler Classic to participate in The First Tee “Grand Opening”
Bob Hope Chrysler Classic Host, George Lopez will headline a contingent from the tournament appearing as part of the grand opening ceremonies of The First Tee of the Coachella Valley.
Appearing along with Lopez will be Bob Hope Chrysler Classic President and Tournament Chairman David Erwin as well as the “Classic Girls.”
The First Tee of Coachella Valley
grand opening is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2008 at The First Tee Golf Center located at 74-945 Sheryl Avenue, Palm Desert, CA 92260. Grand opening ceremonies will last approximately one hour.
Plans for the opening ceremonies include dedication remarks from Coachella Valley community leaders as well as the participation of forty five elementary students from the Coachella Valley Unified School District who will take part in demonstration lessons of The First Tee golf skills and life skills. Complementary food and beverages will be available during grand opening festivities that will last approximately one hour.
“We are very pleased to have the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic Hosted by George Lopez join with us to celebrate the opening of this wonderful program designed to bring the sport of golf and the life skills experience to the children of the Coachella Valley.” stated The First Tee, Coachella Valley Executive Director Jan Hagan.
More than just another junior golf program, The First Tee is a nationally recognized program designed to provide children the opportunity to develop life skills necessary for success through the lens of the golf experience.
Registration for this award-winning program is available at The First Tee Golf Center every day between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. including weekends.
